Lorraine Building
Bristol, CT
The Lorraine Building appears to be from the 1930s. [map]

Dixwell Playhouse & Drug Store [gone]
Hamden, CT
The Dixwell Playhouse and former drug store were supposedly built in 1920. That sounds early - my guess would be 1930s. The Playhouse was used as a movie theatre and later a bowling alley. The building was demolished in 2016. For more, see this website.

French Italian Importing Company
Hamden, CT
The French Italian Importing Company is located about ten blocks north of the Dixwell Playhouse. The similar styles look like the buildings were probably designed by the same architect and built around the same time. [map]

Standard Cleaners & Dyers was vacant in 2003 when this photo was taken. The building was demolished sometime after 2006. It featured a curved entrance and incised Art Deco lettering.

This unidentified building features an aviation theme and glass block. It was built in 1939. The building appeared to be vacant when these photos were taken in 2007. The building was still there in 2011. It had been demolished by 2015.
