The Decorah Municipal Swimming Pool was built in 1937 as a WPA project. It was designed by Edward Novak. It has been in continual use since it opened. It has twice escaped demolition. The building is now painted white and blue. For more, see this website. [map]

former Fire Department Headquarters
Des Moines, IA
This Fire Department Headquarters was built in 1937. It was designed by Proudfoot & Rawson as a WPA project. It was dedicated to firefighter William Barnett.
