Club Moderne Anaconda, MT |

The Club Moderne was designed by Fred F. Willson and built in 1937. It features a Carrara glass facade. These signs are not the original and date from 1948. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2016, the building was badly damaged in a fire. It was restored and reopened in 2017. These photos are from 2022. Hamill Apartments Bozeman, MT |

The Hamill Apartments were designed by Fred Willson and built in 1931 for Henry J. Hamill. Around 1941, Burt Griffin bought the building and had his name put above the door in metal letters. At some point, it was changed back to Hamill. [map] |
National Guard Armory Bozeman, MT |

The National Guard Armory was designed by Fred Willson and built in 1941. It was sold to the City in 2003 and nearly demolished in 2007. It is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2013, the barrel-roofed building at the back was replaced with eight stories for the Kimpton Armory Hotel. It opened in 2020. For more, see this website. [map] |

Willson School Bozeman, MT |
The Willson School was built in 1937 as the Gallatin County High School. It was designed by Fred Willson and renamed after him in 1956. [map] |

Club 13 Bar [gone] Butte, MT |
The Club 13 Bar opened in the 1930s and the blue and yellow tile was added then. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The bar had closed by 2017. The sign was probably from the 1960s and was removed around 2022. The tile on the building was removed in 2023. |
