Hayes Hamburger and Chili Kansas City, MO |
The B&B Diner was a Valentine diner from the early 1960s. It was originally known as Liz's Diner and renamed in 2002. It was closed by 2013. I believe it was demolished by 2018.
Hayes Hamburger and Chili opened in this Valentine diner in 1955. [map] |
Broadway Diner Columbia, MO |
The Broadway Diner is a Valentine diner from 1962. In 2001, it was moved here from a different location in town. This photo is from 2024. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map] |
Birney streetcar Carthage, MO |
|
This Birney streetcar was built by the Cincinnati Car Company in 1921. It was not used as a diner or dining car but I'm including it in this section anyway. The streetcar had been used as a chicken coop before being moved to Red Oak II which has a couple of vintage gas stations. The streetcar was restored in 1993 with a kitchen and seating area added to the interior. I don't believe it's used for cooking or dining at this point. [map] |
