| The Fairlee Motel & Drive-in opened in 1950 and, like the Best Western Movie Manor in Monte Vista, CO, it is a motel/drive-in combination. I believe these were the only drive-ins built using this concept. All 12 of Fairlee's motel rooms have picture windows and speakers, allowing guests to watch movies shown outside. Most of the drive-in patrons come only for the movies. There is room for 400 cars. [map] |
