In 1999, a dining room was added and new canopies with neon were built. The statues were also refurbished. The Wheeling location opened in 2010. The statues were removed from the roof and restored again in 2024. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3. [Chicago map]; [Wheeling map]

Cozy Dog Drive-in
Springfield, IL

former drive-in?
Streator, IL
This building appears to be a former drive-in. The roof and canopy look similar to a Tastee-Freez but those poles were never part of the company's design. The long stretch of parking lot between the building and the road suggests that there may have been a long drive-in canopy here originally. The building now houses SATT Gaming. [map]
