Leawood, KS
Gates Bar-B-Q Restaurant was founded in 1946. This Kansas City building was built in 1973. It was demolished in 2021 after a fire the previous year.

The Leawood location was built in 1972. The company had six locations in the Kansas City area but only one other in Independence, MO had this roof design. For more, see this website. [map]

Bob's Dawg House

Bob's Dawg House opened in 2023. The drive-in previously housed Paw Paws and before that Happy Trails. I don't know what the business name was originally or when the drive-in was built. There was a neon sign with an ice cream cone which was removed around 2023. [map]
