Big M Drive-in Churchville, MD |
The Big M Drive-in restaurant opened in the 1950s and was the adjacent companion to the Bel Air Drive-in Theatre which opened in 1952. This photo is from 2003. The Bel Air was the oldest surviving drive-in movie theatre in Maryland when it closed in 2005. The Big M Drive-in also closed in 2005. The restaurant canopy was later used by the Big M Garden Center. The place is now used for school bus storage. [map] |
