| Blue Jean Farms is not a fairy park but a retail garden shop and nursery. The owner bought these concrete figures from Fantasy Isles, a defunct fairy tale park in Fort Myers, FL. The statues were built by the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. The park opened in 1982. The place closed by the early 1990s. The statues were sold to "Blue Jean" for $1 at an auction. It then cost him several thousand dollars to transport the statues to Ohio. Blue Jean Farms was closed by 2018 and there were auctions in 2018 and 2019. I believe only a couple of statues are left now. For more, see this website. [map] |
