| This Pure Oil station was built in 1935. Its last occupant was Smith's Used Cars, from 1979 until 2002. The traffic circle on which the station stood was eliminated and the deteriorating station was put up for sale. It was dismantled in late 2003 and the New Jersey Dept. of Transportation put the roof tiles, doors, etc. in storage. A buyer was eventually found with plans to reconstruct the station in Watertown, NY. I don't believe it was ever reassembled. |

| This former station might have been a Pure Oil station originally. The slope of the roof seems right. The size and placement of the windows and door also make it seem possible. One of the chimneys may have been removed and the other replaced (widened). The building was restored in 2004 and now serves as the Kiwanis Santa House. [map] |
