former station [gone] Buffalo, NY 2005: |
|
2010: | |
This former station was built in 1947. It later became a Firestone tire dealer and added auto repairs. The gas tanks were removed in the mid-1980s. The original building was round with box-like service bays added later. The top level had painted glass that was originally lit up like a beacon. In 2005, the building housed Ken-Hy Auto. In 2010, the building was vacant. By 2014, the building was gone. |
former station Rensselaer, NY |
This former station housed Joe's Garage when these photos were taken in 2010. By 2015, the building was housing Windward Motors. By 2017, it was housing GJJ Auto Sales. The station might be a modified Gulf or Amoco. Does anyone know this history of this building? [map] |
Bruce's Garage Liberty, NY |
Bruce's Garage was built around 1946. It is an interesting combination of Streamline Moderne and later porcelain enamel panels. This former station no longer sells gas. [map] |
