Austin, TX
This former Sinclair station was built in 1933. From the beginning, Kenneth Threadgill had purchased a liquor license and was serving alcohol, mostly to traveling musicians. In 1981, Threadgill's became a restaurant. Over the years, the canopy was walled up and the building was heavily remodeled with additions. In 2020, the business closed. The sign has been removed and the lot is surrounded by chain link fencing. [map]
