Mama Burger statues
Hatch, NM
A&W statue mugs
The first Mama Burger statue shown above has been at Franciscan RV since around 2007. She came from a collector in California. There is also an unrestored Mama statue (third photo) and two A&W statue mugs in storage at the RV dealership. In addition, there is a Cowboy statue in front of the business. The dealership and Sparky's restaurant are owned by Teaku Nunn. He has an extensive collection of fiberglass statues.

Burger Family
Lemitar, NM (now Hatch, NM)

2008:

2012 and 2017:
This Burger Family was originally located in a Denver suburb (see the Belen Teen Burger below). They were moved to Lemitar around 2003. In 2008, the three statues were sold to Teaku Nunn in Hatch, NM. They were restored and repainted before being installed on the roof of his new restaurant, Sparky's. I don't know where he got the Teen Burger from. For more, see this website. [map]

Circle T Drive-in
Belen, NM
The owner of the Circle T Drive-in bought a complete Burger Family from a Denver area A&W in the 1980s. He split up the family between his two restaurants. Around 2003, he sold the Papa, Mama and Baby to a friend in Lemitar (see above). [map]

Mr. Bill's Car Hop
South Glens Falls, NY
Mr. Bill's Car Hop was originally an A&W Drive-in. I don't know if there were any other Burger Family statues there then or just this Papa Burger. The place became Zookie's Drive-in sometime in the 1970s. In 2001, the name was changed to Mr. Bill's Drive-in. The top left photo of Papa Burger photo is from 2003. The statue was completely refurbished in 2004. By 2009, the drive-in was renamed Mr. Bill's Car Hop. [map]

Mama Burger & Papa Burger
Brooklyn, NY
This Papa Burger and Mama Burger in Brooklyn are on the roof of Paul's Daughter, a snack bar on Coney Island's Boardwalk. In 2009, the Rocket between the two statues was removed as part of a Boardwalk redevelopment project. There are plans to reinstall the rocket elsewhere. In 2012, Mama Burger was knocked over during Hurricane Sandy. She was found on the roof missing her burger and mug of beer. By 2016, she was reinstalled at the center of the roof with Papa. She had a golden mug of beer but no burger. For more, see this website. [map]

Magic Forest [gone]
Lake George, NY
Among the dozens of statues at Magic Forest were these modified A&W figures. The Teen Burgers were modified by International Fiberglass and marketed as Ice Cream Boys (see the statue in East Tawas above). The Baby Burger was produced by International Fiberglass. It seemed to be unmodified except for the paint job which was probably done at Magic Forest. All three statues were originally installed at the Danbury Fair in Danbury, CT. They were purchased by Magic Forest in 1989. In 2019, the owner sold off most of the statues at the park. The Baby Burger statue went to a private collector in Santa Maria.
