Toy Soldier [gone]Sherborn, MA | Ice Cream Person Douglas, MA |
|
This Toy Soldier was originally installed at Shoppers World in Framingham, MA. It was one of the original 23 ten-foot-tall statues which were built around 1975. For many years, this statue was displayed at the Sherborn Inn during the Christmas holidays. Since 2015, the building has housed the Heritage of Sherborn restaurant and event space. They do not have this statue. However, the statues have been recreated and are now displayed in Framingham, MA during the holidays. For more, see this website.
This Ice Cream Person stands on the lot of a Family Fuels gas station. I'm guessing that there was an ice cream stand on the property previously. Does anyone know anything about this statue? For more, see this website. [map] |
