Bob Smith worked on his environment in Syracuse, NY for over 40 years. He called his creation "The Land of Broken Dreams". Smith, aka "the Whirly-Gig Man", passed away in 2008. His widow still lives on the property but the artwork is now in disarray. I don't believe that anyone is maintaining it. These photos are from around 2001. Smith used found and natural objects, hung decorations from logs, created pathways from old carpeting, and made small buildings which used to house rabbits and birds.
