Tio's Tacos is a popular Mexican restaurant in Riverside, CA. It is owned by Marin Sanchez who has built a mini village of bottle houses and sculptures from discarded items. Sanchez was never trained as an artist. He moved from Mexico to California in 1984 and began selling tacos in 1989. The restaurant opened in 1990 and Sanchez has been building his creations since then. One of the bottle houses serves as a chapel. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.
