Mason's Mini Golf [gone]
Leominster, MA
Mason's Mini Golf was located next door to Mason's Bowling Center which opened in 1960. These obstacles appeared to be vintage and handmade. Both businesses closed in 2022. The mini golf is gone now, paved over for parking.

Golf on the Village Green
Natick, MA
Golf on the Village Green was built in 1964. It retains its original Colonial period and Revolutionary war theme. Plaques accompany each hole explaining historical significance. Landscaping, some statues and a fountain (unfortunately, replacing a cute whale) have been added but otherwise the course is intact. [map]

Hago Harrington's Miniature Golf
Stoneham, MA
Hago Harrington's was built in 1950. In addition to the sweet, apparently original, Americana-themed course, it has a huge central grassy area and nice stone benches. Hago Harrington was a NHL hockey player in the 1920s and 1930s. He was born in Melrose, MA and played for many years for the Boston Bruins. I'm not sure what his connection is to this place. [map]

Baker's Golf Center
Lanesboro, MA
Baker's Golf Center opened in 1943. The mini golf was rebuilt in 1968 and again in 1993. The single course's obstacles are delightfully traditional. Baker's driving range was built at the same time. There are also a couple of great aerial photos of the place from the 1970s in the office. [map]

Wellfleet Drive-In Mini Golf
Wellfleet, MA
The Wellfleet Drive-In opened in 1957. The mini golf was built in 1961. For more, see this website. [map]
