Dolphin Mini Golf has lots of clever regional-themed holes (moving buoys, a spinning ship's wheel, etc.) and greens in the shapes of a dolphin, a whale and an anchor. The place is pristine and used for an annual tournament since 1994 (the New England Regional Mini Golf Championships). There are also fishponds, an ice cream stand, a video arcade, and the Covered Bridge Shell Museum. [map]

Steamboat Landing's Maine-themed course opened in 1979. The obstacles include a grist mill, an outhouse, a lobster trap, and a Turnpike tollbooth. They also have plenty of shade and ice cream. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]
