Hardy's Action Putt Mount Airy, NC |
||
Hardy's Action Putt is situated next to a driving range. The course features regional references throughout its course. Hardy's appears to be an updated, older course. [map] |
Maggie Valley Carpet Golf Maggie Valley, NC | ||
Maggie Valley Carpet Golf opened in 1963 and has classic obstacles and some unique pieces as well. The lights and layout look like the place might originally have been a Putt-Putt. [map] |
Putt-Putt Golf Wilson, NC |
||
The Wilson Putt-Putt Golf was an oasis of orange and green, magical in its simplicity. There were no big obstacles, no fancy waterfalls, no challenging dips, hills, rocks, or sand traps. Nevertheless, this tight little classic course with just a few painted plywood figures and overhead lights was enough to make sentimental adults smile and kids jump up and down. These photos are from 2010. By 2012, the vintage sign panel had been replaced with a modern one. This location closed in 2018 and has been abandoned since then. For some other Putt-Putt Golf courses, see these in Tennessee and Virginia. [map] |
Putt-Putt Golf Burlington, NC |
||
The Burlington Putt-Putt Golf is still operating and a nicely-maintained, classic example of the chain. [map] |
