The Transamerica Pyramid was designed by William L. Pereira & Harry D. Som and built from 1969-1972. For more, see this website. [map]

Marine Firemen's Union
San Francisco, CA
The Marine Firemen's Union building was constructed in 1957. The bas-relief sculpture on the facade was created by Olof Carl Malmquist. For more, see this website. [map]

Three Embarcadero Center
San Francisco, CA
Three Embarcadero Center, an office skyscraper and retail building, was designed by John Portman and completed in 1977. It is part of Embarcadero Center, a complex of five interconnected buildings. [map]

San Jose Water Co.
San Jose, CA
The San Jose Water Co. building was designed by Gifford E. Sobey and built in 1960. Originally, there was a moat with fountains in front of the building. The grass has been replaced with mulch. There was also a sign with a cinder block screen which was removed around 2010. There is also a chain link fence around the building which I believe is vacant. For more, see this website. [map]

CHEIM Lumber Co. [gone]
San Jose, CA
This CHEIM Lumber Co. building was used as a sales office CHEIM's prefabricated houses. The building was designed by Bill May of Kress & Gibson and built around 1954. The building housed Elite Roofing Supply when these photos were taken in 2014. In 2015, the building was demolished. For more, see this website.

This medical building was built in 1963. By 2022, the building and sign had been drastically remodeled. [map]

The Water Education Center building originally housed East Bay Pure Water. The building was owned by the City of San Leandro and was vacant when these photos were taken in 2008. By 2012, the building was gone.

Kundert Medical Clinic
San Luis Obispo, CA
The Kundert Medical Clinic was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1956. It was used original as an ophthalmologist's office. The building now houses Kenneth Tway's cardiology office. [map]
