Horgan Academy of Irish Dance
Naugatuck, CT
This former bank now houses Horgan Academy of Irish Dance. The building was designed by the Waterbury firm of Alexander and Nichols. It was built in 1964 as a Waterbury National Bank branch. Shortly thereafter, it became Citytrust until the early 1990s when Chase Bank took it over. Chase left the building in 1998. The front doors feature coins embedded between the two panes of glass. For more, see this website. [photo of the doors thanks Debbie Forchielli] [map]
