Sanford Auto Company [gone]
Sanford, FL
The Sanford Auto Company, a repair garage, appeared vacant when these photos were taken in 2009. It was demolished in 2011. The building originally housed Butte Knit Clothing, a manufacturing business. It may have been inspired by the Palacio da Alvorada which was designed by Oscar Niemeyer.

Masonic Temple
St. Petersburg, FL
The Masonic Temple was built in 1955. I believe this sign was installed then. In 2021, plans were approved to demolish the building and install a high-rise tower with condos and commercial space. The owner intends to donate the sign to a Masonic Lodge. These photos are from 2020 and 2021. During Hurricane Milton in 2024, the bottom panel was badly bent. [map]
