Welborn Villa Apartments
Kansas City, KS
The Welborn Villa Apartments were built in 1972. It consists of five round buildings with folded plate roofs with courtyards at their centers. One smaller round building serves as the office. [map]

Dean House
Lawrence, KS
The Dean House was built in 1956. It features a double hyperbolic paraboloid roof. The roof is made of wood and had to be replaced in the 1980s. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Dice House
Lenexa, KS
The Dice House was built in 1986 which is too late to be mid-century but I'm including anyway. The house consists of two giant cubes, earning it the "Dice House" nickname. It was originally sided with natural wood and painted black around 2021. These photos are from 2023. [map]

Campbell Dome House
Overland Park, KS
The Campbell Dome House was built in 1968 by Bob D. Campbell as his residence. About one-fifth of the roof is glass. This portion of the building faces south for the best exposure to the sun. The interior features a tropical courtyard and an in-ground pool. For more, see this website. [map]
