This BankFirst was probably built in the 1950s or 1960s. It may have been a Columbus Federal Savings Bank originally. The building was housing that bank in the mid-1970s and 1980s. [map]

This former motor bank was built in 1961. It previously housed a F&M Bank and a First National Bank before that. I don't know what bank was here originally. [map]

former Gering National Bank
Gering, NE
The Gering National Bank appears to be from the 1950s or the 1960s. The building later housed the U.S. Bank. In 2022, the building began housing the Emporium Express coffee shop. [map]

former First National Bank
Hastings, NE
This First National Bank was built in 1963. Since 1984, it has housed the City Building. [map]

This building looks like it might have been built as a motor bank. Does anyone know what was here originally? [map]

This First National Bank was built in 1970. The exterior was designed by Russell McCaleb and the interior by Wenceslao Alfonso Sarmiento. The building now houses a U.S. Bank. [map]

This Omaha National Bank branch was designed by John Latenser & Sons and built from 1968-1969. The building has been nicknamed the Cupcake Building and the Pac-Man Building. The building was vacant from at least 2007 until 2015 when it began housing the Bike Union/Coffee Union. It now houses Astute Coffee. [map]

former Commercial Federal Bank [gone]
Omaha, NE
This former Commercial Federal Bank branch featured hyperbolic paraboloid concrete umbrellas. The larger ones on the right created a canopy for drive-thru windows. In 2005, this became a Bank of the West branch. The building appeared to be vacant when these photos were taken in 2012. The building was demolished in 2021. For more, see this website.
