former dealership Kingsville, TX |
|
This former dealership housed Eddie Yaklin Ford Lincoln Mercury. The dealership apparently moved to a new location in town. This photo is from 2011. The building is still vacant. [map] |
former Chevrolet dealership Lamesa, TX 2006: |
|
2012: | |
This former Chevrolet dealership has antique cars on display inside. By 2012, the bottom photo, an awning was installed which hides some of the building detail. [map] |
Glosserman Chevrolet Buick Lockhart, TX 2006: |
2011: |
The Glosserman Chevrolet Buick building appears to be from the 1940s. In 2006, the dealership was still open. By 2008, the building was vacant. The building now houses an auto parts store which has assumed part of the name as the Glosserman Auto Center. [map] |
former Villa Oldsmobile Lubbock, TX |
|
The Villa Oldsmobile dealership was built in 1971. When these photos were taken in 2017, the building had housed Tec's Autoplex. That business appeared to be closed. I assume the larger building in the top row housed Villa's new car showroom and the smaller building in the bottom row served as the used car office. By 2018, the smaller building had been demolished. The larger building now houses The Garage used car dealership. [map] |
Matador Auto Co. Matador, TX |
|
The Matador Auto Co. was a Ford dealer. It was probably built in the 1920s. [map] |
Charles Clark Chevrolet McAllen, TX |
Charles Clark Chevrolet was established in 1933 as Carpenter Chevrolet. This building was built at that time and has housed the dealership since then. The company was renamed after Charles Clark in 1955. [map] |
