The Million Dollar Theatre opened in 1918 as Grauman's Theatre. It officially changed names in 1922. The theatre closed in 1993 and was taken over by a church. In 1998, the church moved out and the building remained vacant until 2005 when restoration began. The theatre reopened in 2008 as a live performance and special events venue. The Mayan Theatre opened with live shows in 1927. The theatre was designed by Morgan, Walls and Clements and includes the artwork of Francisco Cornejo.
