Firestone Building [gone] Birmingham, AL |
This Firestone store was built in 1935. There were originally gas pumps under the canopy. The building was empty for many years. These photos are from 2010. The building was demolished in 2015. |
Firestone Selma, AL |
This Firestone store appears to be from the 1950s or 1960s. This store has a modern plastic pole sign now. The backlit plastic letters on the roofline were probably neon originally. In 2023, the store was hit by a tornado. The building was damaged and remains boarded up. The rooftop letters were mangled and missing. [map] |
