Firestone [gone] Raleigh, NC |
Firestone Lexington, NC |
Firestone [gone] Sanford, NC |
Firestone [gone] Rockingham, NC |
These North Carolina Firestone stores feature classic bow-tie signs. There are still a lot of these signs across the country.
This Raleigh store featured two of them. However, that store closed around 2019 and the signs were removed. The Sanford building housed Money Man, a pawn shop, in 2013. However, the Firestone sign still remained. By 2023, the building was housing Turbotime, a Subaru repair shop, and the sign was gone. [map] The Rockingham sign was restored after this 2010 photo. There were also neon Firestone letters on the building. By 2022, the building was housing Black's Tire & Auto and the Firestone signs were gone. |
Barry's Tires & Exhaust Forest City, NC |
Barry's Tires & Exhaust had both Firestone and B.F. Goodrich signs. By 2019, only the Goodrich sign was there. The building appears to be from the 1960s. [map] |
