Firestone [gone] Brooklyn, NY |
This Firestone building was designed by Sidney Strauss and built in 1936. There were originally gas pumps under the canopy. This location closed in 2020 and the building is currently vacant. The signs and letters have been removed. A demolition permit was filed in 2021 and the building was gone in 2022. |
Firestone Horseheads, NY |
This Firestone is located in the Arnot Mall. The mall was built in 1967 and I believe this building is from then. The Bon-Ton store, originally McCurdy's, has the same style column corners. [map] |
Port Jervis Tire & Auto Port Jervis, NY |
|
Port Jervis Tire & Auto sells Firestone tires as well as other brands. This building may have been a combination garage and gas station originally. [map] |
