36 of these Buffalo statues were installed in front of businesses and schools around McAlester in 2010. They are supposedly bronze but they look more like aluminum statues to me. The first statue above is installed in front of a Farmers Insurance office. The second statue is located at the McAlester Masonic Lodge. For more, see this website. [map]; [map] |

This bronze White Buffalo sculpture is installed in the town square. It was produced by Robert Taylor in 1994. The sculpture replaced a fiberglass buffalo statue which had been installed in 1967. For more, see this website. [map] |
Buffalo and Cow [gone] Fond du Lac, WI |

This Buffalo and Cow were previously in Peshtigo, WI. They were moved here to Fond du Lac around 2006. They were parked, still on their trailers, in a dead-end street at a mobile home park. These photos are from 2007. They appear at on-line maps in 2012 but were gone in 2014. |
White Buffalo [gone] Janesville, WI |

This White Buffalo represented "Miracle" who was born at the DaVal's White Buffalo ranch in 1994 and died in 2004. Native Americans believe the white buffalo to be sacred. This sculpture depicted the buffalo and the legend of the White Buffalo Calf Woman. It was created by Harry Whitehorse in 1996. The sculpture was damaged in a storm and restored in 2001.
