Fred the Buffalo was installed on a boat on the roof of Copper Country Antiques. The statue was painted different colors year-round. The store closed in 2015 and all the statues are gone. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

This Buffalo statue appears to be aluminum. It was installed on the roof of Willie Boy's Saloon sometime after 2012. It was repainted in 2022 when the business became Spaghetti Western. [map]

This bronze Bison sculpture in Golden was installed in front of the Buffalo Rose Bar & Grill in 2005. Entitled "The Monarch", it was created by Buck McCain. [map]

This Bison sculpture in Grand Junction is entitled "Chrome on the Range II". It was built from car bumpers by Lou Wille and installed in 1989. [map]

This Buffalo statue was built in 1959 by Elmer Peterson. It is made from concrete over a steel frame. It is 26 feet tall and 46 feet long, making it the world's largest buffalo statue. The statue is dedicated to the vast herds of bison which once roamed the prairies. It was restored in 2007. For more, see this website. [map]

This Buffalo sculpture in Bismarck was created by Bennett Brien from steel rebar. It was installed at the North Dakota State Capitol in 1986. [map]

This Tigalo statue in Fargo is installed in front of the Red River Zoo. This painted hybrid of a tiger and a buffalo was created by Jack Lunde. These bronze Buffalos are part of the "Spirit of Nebraska's Wilderness" sculpture group which also includes geese and a covered wagon scene. These buffalo sculptures extend over two blocks. They were created by Kent Ullberg and installed in 2002. [first row map], [bottom two rows map]

This Prairie Bull bison sculpture in McCook was produced by Gary Ginther in 2000. It is installed in front of the Carnegie Library. The bronze sculpture is seven feet long. For more, see this website. [map]

This fiberglass Bison statue in Kearney was created by Gary Ginther in 2002. It is 10 feet tall. The fiberglass statue was produced from a bronze sculpture by Ginther. Ted Turner, the media mogul, commissioned this statue after seeing a replica of Ginther's Prairie Bull sculpture in McCook. Turner owns the largest bison herd in the country. He had this statue installed outside his restaurant, Ted's Montana Grill, in Atlanta, GA. The statue was moved here in 2011, on loan, to the Great Platte River Road Archway. This life-sized Buffalo in Gothenburg is made of 1,400 pounds of barbed wire. It is located in front of the Sod House Museum. The sculpture was created by Merle Block. It has been here since at least 1998. [map]
