This Salmon in Portland is known as "Transcendence". It was created by Keith Jellum in 1998. It is located on the corner of Salmon St., above the Southpark Seafood restaurant. The sculpture is 11 feet long and made of bronze. [map]
The Salmon in Manhattan Beach is located at the Fishbar restaurant. It was installed in 2016. The sculpture may have been inspired by the one in Portland. [map] |

This first Salmon shown above was located in a fountain downtown when this photo was taken in 2008. By 2011, the fountain was still there but the Salmon was gone. It was one of at least five salmon sculptures installed around town in 2001 for the Soul Salmon project.
The second Salmon shown above was also part of the Soul Salmon project. It is located in a fountain downtown. [map] The third Salmon shown above was also part of the Soul Salmon project. It is still located at the fire station. This fish is named "Sparkee." The spots are a reference to the traditional fire department mascot, the Dalmatian. [map] |

These Salmon are part of the group of ten fiberglass salmon sculptures created for the Olympia Salmon Run Public Art Project. The sculptures were produced by local artists. Each sculpture is about eight feet long. They were originally located outside at the Olympia Farmer's Market. They are now displayed inside Olympia Center. [map] |

This Salmon, aka "Woody", was supposedly carved by Enoch Kadashan in the early 1900s from a redwood log. According to another source, it was carved in 1974 as "Indomitable" and was originally located at the Prairie Creek Fish Hatchery in Orick, CA. For more, see this website. [map] |

This Salmon is located in front of the Woodland Villa Cabins. It was carved from a redwood tree and has been there since at least 1991. For more, see this website. [map] |
Salmon Atlanta, GA |

The Salmon was created in 1995 by Martin Dawe and Randy Blain. It stands at the entrance to the Atlanta Fish Market, a seafood restaurant. This sculpture is 65 feet long and is made of solid copper and steel. In December, the sculpture wears a Santa hat. Despite the claim, it is not largest fish sculpture in the world. There are a few other sculptures which are bigger including the fiberglass muskie in Hayward, WI which is more than twice as long. For more, see this website. [map] |
