The former Woolworth in San Antonio was designed by Adams & Adams and built in 1921. The store closed in 1997. The building now houses Ripley's Haunted Adventure. For more, see this website. [map]
The former Woolworth in Waco was renovated as the Woolworth Suites in 2011. The building is probably from the 1920s or 1930s. [map] The former Woolworth was built in 1917 as a drug store. It became a Woolworth store in 1944. It had closed by 1968. The surviving sign panels have been adapted for many businesses since then. [map] |
