This former Burger Chef was home to Hill-bert's Burgers when the first photo above was taken in 2008. By 2011, bottom photos, a P. Terry's Burger Stand had been built on the lot. I don't think any of the old building was integrated into the structure although the design is a bit of a tribute. [map]

All that remains of this former Burger Chef is what remains of the sign. The sign advertised for a Mexican restaurant before being adapted for $25 Optical. [map]

This former Burger Chef sign was still there when the first photo was taken in 2006. The sign was damaged in 2009 and gone by 2010. The other two photos above are from 2011 and show the remaining base of the sign and what's left of the building. [map]

The first former Burger Chef sign shown above was still there when this photo was taken in 2006. The chef portion of the sign was removed but still on the lot in 2009. It was gone by 2011.

The second former Burger Chef shown above has housed the Las Morenitas Restaurant since 2017. The building had been vacant for several years before that. [map]

Abilene, TX
This former Burger Chef location has been substantially altered. The chef sign panel was in decent, original shape in 2013 when the place was a pizza restaurant. By 2017, the building was housing a Mexican restaurant and the sign had been completely painted over and the bulbs removed. These photos are from 2020. In 2021, the sign was removed by a sign seller.

This Burger Chef opened in 1965. It has housed the Chinese Palace since 1975. These photos are from 2012. By 2015, the building and sign were gone.

This heavily remodeled former Burger Chef has housed the Fish Place since at least 2008. Most of the building extension took place in 2013. [map]

This former Burger Chef opened around 1964. The building housed Don Miguel Tacos for a few years. It has been vacant since 2018. [map]

This former Burger Chef was built in 1967. It had a very unusual design with wings extended off the building. The building's most recent tenant was the Widow's Son Barefoot Diner. However, the building has been vacant since at least 2008. [map]

This former Burger Chef has been here since at least 1967. This building has the same wing style as the Killeen building shown above. It has housed Chen's China Inn since at least 2008. The building now houses the Lindo Mexico Taqueria. [map]
