Varsity Drive-in Atlanta, GA |
The Varsity Drive-in opened in 1928 in a 14-foot-wide building with six stools. It moved to its current location in 1932. The building was remodeled in 1940. Since 1950, it has claimed to be the world's largest drive-in. Inside, there's a continuously moving conveyor belt bringing food from the cooks to the 150-foot-long ordering counter. The interior can seat 800 customers. There are now several other locations. For more, see this website. [map] |
