Top Spot Drive Inn

Brigham City, UT
The Top Spot Drive Inn opened in 1963. It closed in 2015. There was talk that this building might be demolished. However, it has since reopened. [map]

Call's Family Drive-in appears to have been built in the 1950s or 1960s. [map]

Woody's Drive-in
Murray, UT
Woody's Drive-in opened in 1989. I don't know if the building is from then or there was another drive-in here before Woody's. [map]

Iceberg Drive Inn
Salt Lake City, UT
2006: 2014:
The Iceberg Drive Inn chain began was established with this location which was built in 1960. There are now eleven locations in Utah. This is the only building with this design. The neon star was altered around 2009. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3. [map]

Kirt's Family Drive Inn
North Ogden, UT
Kirt's Family Drive Inn opened in 1963 as Pinky's Drive-in. This was Pinky's second location. This building was modeled after Yankee Lunches. The top photo is from 1965. While it was Pinky's, the building, order phones, cups and dishes, were all pink. Pinky's closed in 1969. From 1970-1973, the place was known as Warren's Drive-in. In 1973, it became Kirk's Drive-in. Later that year, new owners renamed the drive-in Kirt's. The name change was done in haste to avoid having to replace the sign. In 1998, neon was added to the building for the filming of movie, "Drive Me Crazy." The current sign was also installed in 1998. [top photo scan thanks Robby Delius] [map]
