Volpe's Service Station has been pumping gas since 1940. I don't know what brand was sold here originally but it was a Sinclair station in the 1950s. It was also a Texaco station in the past. Volpe's was doing business as a Mobil station when these photos were taken in 2012. [map]

This former Skelly station was built in 1932 and operated until the 1950s. The building was restored from 2018-2022. The building owner named the station "Mac's Skelly Service" after his father. During the restoration, the glass windows in the gables were painted with the Skelly logo. The "Little Library" built in the style of the station was also added. For more, see this website. [map]

former station
Pontiac, IL
This octagonal, prefabricated former station was built in the 1920s and was known as Allen "Pop" Johnson's Conoco station. The building was likely produced by Union Metal and had detailed columns like this one in Delaware, OH. This station was originally located downtown and then moved to a farm in 1937. Around 1994, it was moved to Threshermen's Park and restored. [map]
