This former station in Geneva was built in 1928 as a Standard Oil station. The garage bays were added in 1950. It operated as a gas station until the 1970s. The building has been home to Architectural Resources since the late 1980s. [map]
The former station in Anna was being used for furniture sales when this photo was taken in 2010. The building was vacant in 2019. [map] |
former station Aledo, IL |
This former station may have been a Standard Oil station originally. After a restoration, a couple of Red Crown pumps were put on display on the island. They are gone now. These photos are from 2012. [map] |
Volpe's Service Station La Salle, IL |
|
Volpe's Service Station has been pumping gas since 1940. I don't know what brand was sold here originally but it was a Sinclair station in the 1950s. It was also a Texaco station in the past. Volpe's was doing business as a Mobil station when these photos were taken in 2012. [map] |

This former station was probably built as a Skelly station based on the diamond-shaped windows. [map] |
