This former station was built in 1926 by the Saffert Construction Company. This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It currently houses a law office. For more, see this website. [map] |
former station Canby, MN |
||
This former station was built around 1926. It is known as the Lundring Service Station and may have been designed by Sinclair. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [map] |
Astoria Station Dawson, MN |
Astoria Station was built as a Sinclair station in 1928. It later became a Skelly station. In 1968, it became a repair garage known as Amer Boraas Station and the pumps and tanks were removed. In 2004, the current owners bought the building and began restoring the building. They converted it into a home. The station was named after Astoria, OR for which the owners have a special fondness. [1930s vintage photo thanks Frank & Shari Aabye.] [map] |
former Skelly Station Madison, MN |
||
This former Skelly Station was built in 1922 and used as a gas station until 1946. It was used as a radio and TV repairs and sales shop until 1990. It was repainted and a new was installed at that time. The station is maintained and owned by the funeral home operators next door. [map] |
former Skelly Station Dalton, MN |
|||
This former Skelly Station is located at the Thresherman's Association with some other transplanted buildings. I have not seen a Skelly weathervane like this before but it appears to be vintage. [map] |
former station Carver, MN |
|
This former station was built in 1925 by the Minnesota Valley Oil Company. I don't know if it was ever a Mobil station or if it's just been dressed up with these pumps. [map] |
former station Bayport, MN |
|
This former station has been here since at least the 1930s. I don't know if it was ever a Shell station or if it's just been dressed up as one. In the 1940s, it housed a Phillips 66 station. [map] |
