This former Mobil station canopy was still in use at a 7-Eleven station and convenience store when this photo was taken in 2011. By 2014, the 7-11 had closed and the canopy was gone. For more about these 1960s canopies and pumps, see this page.
This former station was built in 1961. It has been abandoned since at least 2008. [map] |

In 2024, it was announced that this former station from the 1950s will be adapted for a visitor center known as The Filling Station. For more, see this website. [map] |

I believe this former station was originally a Texaco from the late 1950s. By 2018, the building had been painted gray and red. The windows have been covered up and the building now houses Lonnie's Used Cars. [map] |

This former station now houses Rick McNair's Used Cars. It may have been a Cities Service station originally. [map] |

former station Bristow, OK |
These former stations in Miami, Lawton, Woodward, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Bristow were all most likely Champlin stations. The Miami station photo is from 2006. At some point between 2008 and 2013, the building and canopy were demolished. [Lawton map]; [Woodward map]; [Tulsa map]; [Oklahoma City map]; [Oklahoma City map]; [Bristow map] |

This former Champlin station was built around 1959. By 2013, the pumps were gone and the building was housing Chiefs Smokin' Icehouse. The siding had been removed from the building exposing the brick and the concrete features were painted tan. [map] |

This former Champlin station was built in 1959. It has been abandoned for many years. In 2011 just after these photos were taken, renovation of the office building began. Although there was talk of the canopy being removed, it appeared in 2012 that it would be staying. New underground gas tanks were being added when these photos were taken. By 2013, the station was back in operation. [map]
This station in Columbus, OH was apparently built using the same or very similar design. |
former station Oklahoma City, OK |
This former station now houses a Los Amigo's Tire Shop. Supposedly, the station and canopy were built in 1980. I'm told that it was built as a Hudson station. These photos are from 2011. The pumps were removed later that year. [map] |
