The Hangout complex was built around 2008. This "Hang Loose" hand is probably from then. [map]

Napa is known for its vineyards and wineries. The sculpture was originally going to be installed downtown but the City voted it down in 2015. [map]

Studio City Hand Car Wash
Studio City, CA
This hand takes the name of Hand Car Wash quite literally. A life-sized replica of a 1957 Corvette rests on top of the sponge. The Corvette was originally painted hot pink. The sign was created by Gagik Daniel in 2001. It was originally six feet taller. Since it did not comply with city regulations, the sponge was shortened to bring the sign down to the legal limit of 26 feet. For more, see this website. [map]

High Five Hand
Aptos, CA
Ringo's Hand
Beverly Hills, CA
Hand Holding Paper Airplane
El Segundo, CA
The life-sized High Five Hand is installed on the wall at the far west end of the RV Parking Lot at Seacliff State Beach. For many years, the wall served as a memorial wall with tile plaques and photos. However, the wall is technically private property and the homeowner objected to the display. The memorial items were stripped from the wall in 2016 but the hand remains.

This 8-foot-tall, stainless steel sculpture of Ringo's Hand making a peace sign was installed in 2019. Entitled "Peace and Love," it was donated by Ringo Starr who lives nearby. [map]

The Hand Holding Paper Airplane sculpture is 26 feet tall and made of wire mesh. It is entitled "For Your Intellectual Entertainment" and was created by Daniel Martinez in 1995. The sculpture is installed on the elevated platform at the El Segundo Metro Green Line Station. [map]
