Castle Park Riverside, CA |

Castle Park opened in 1976 as a Malibu Grand Prix which was a full-scale amusement park with rides and attractions. I don't know when it closed or how many mini golf courses there were originally. Today, there are four courses with different themes. The structures include a Big Ben, a Dutch windmill, a Turkish castle, a Western fort, a Spanish mission, a Chinese pagoda, an Old West town, and a Haunted House. For more, see this website. [map] |
Castle Park Sherman Oaks, CA |

This Castle Park was also built originally as a Malibu Grand Prix. There was a third location in Redondo Beach, CA which closed in 2005 and is gone now. The Sherman Oaks location fell into disrepair and was sold to the City of Los Angeles. It is still owned and operated by the City of Los Angeles' Recreation and Parks Department. There are three mini golf courses. For more, see this website. [map] |
