Fun Time USA [gone] Gulfport, MS
Fun Time USA was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. These photos were taken in 2006. I have heard that a surviving Humpty Dumpty is in storage. However, I believe the rest of these figures were demolished. Fun Time USA's owner learned his concrete and rebar technique from Lee Koplin who built the Goofy Golf courses in Florida. He worked for Koplin during the construction of the second Goofy Golf in Biloxi built in the mid-1970s. Both Goofy Golfs have been demolished. Fun Time USA also featured bumper boats, bumper cars, an arcade, go karts, and children's rides which are also all gone now. In 2018, there were plans to rebuild and expand Fun Time USA. However, as of 2021, nothing had happened. |
Jackson Golf World [gone] Jackson, MS
Jackson Golf World was built as an Arnold Palmer Putting Course. I don't know if the 1977 date is when the place was built or when it was renamed. The obstacles were repainted just before these photos were taken in 2010. By 2017, the place had closed. By 2018, the obstacles were gone. |
