This former Sumitomo Bank branch was built by 1972. In 1999, the building began housing the A. Robert Cromeans Salon. Since 2004, it has housed Paul Mitchell The School. [map] |

This Citibank branch was built in 1963. The building had been vacant since around 2016. It now houses Local Maker Mart. Does anyone know what bank was here originally? [map]
This Chase Bank branch was built in 1970. It was a Washington Mutual Bank until 2009. I don't know if that was the original tenant. [map] |

This Chase Bank was built in 1962 as a Salinas Valley Savings & Loan branch. The building was designed by Rojko, Sarmiento & Ecoff. The mosaic tile above the entrance is the same as the former Salinas Valley Savings in Salinas, CA. For more, see this website. [map] |

Bank of the West San Jose, CA |
This Bank of the West was built in 1951 as a First National Bank. The building was designed by Higgins & Root. The building was remodeled around 1958 and this coin mosaic by Mark Henry was likely added then. The building now houses Garden City Construction which plans to restore the mosaic. This Bank of America branch was designed by Miller & Steiner and Wurster, Bernardi & Emmons. It was built in 1963. The facade features murals designed by Louis Macouillard. This former Harbor Savings and Loan Association building was designed by Young & Remington and built in 1961. There was originally a moat around the building and lava rock walls inside. The shopping center's pole sign shown above was added later. [map] |

This former Home Savings Bank was built from 1969-1970. The mosaic mural, designed by Millard Sheets, depicts families at the beach. The sculpture was created by Richard Ellis. It was installed in a planter which was originally a fountain. This building currently houses a New Balance shoe store. In 2019, the building owner donated the mural to the City. It was preserved is now on display outside the Hilbert Museum of California Art in Orange, CA. The fountain statue was also removed and will also be displayed at the Hilbert Museum.
