Sacred Heart Church [gone]
Vernon, CT
The Sacred Heart Church was built in 1971. The building was condemned in 1997 when pieces of concrete began falling from the ceiling. Evidently, the ceiling was leaking, too, as the carpeting was saturated when these photos were taken in 2006. The building was demolished in 2019.

St. Philip Roman Catholic Church

The St. Philip Roman Catholic Church was designed by George J. Lechner of the firm Lyons and Mather. It was dedicated in 1969. [map]
