This Progressive Insurance office was built in 1969 as the Banks Haley Gallery. The building housed the Albany Museum of Art later on. For more, see this website. [map]

former Lamar Lewis Shoe Store
Athens, GA
This Lamar Lewis Shoe Store opened in 1929. The concrete, relief panel slipcover is from the 1950s or 1960s. Plastic letters spelling out "Lamar Lewis Shoes" were still on top of the panels in 2017. I believe the store closed around then. In 2018, the building was renovated for Tweed Recording. For more, see this website. [map]

The Peachtree Plaza Hotel was designed by John Portman and opened in 1976. At 73 stories, it is one of the tallest all-hotel buildings in the world. Around 1981, it became the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

This European Cleaners building was built in 1968. I don't know what the original tenant was but it has housed a European Cleaners since 1984. By 2022, the cleaners had closed and the building was being renovated. [map]

Yaarab Temple
