Home State Bank
McPherson, KS
This Home State Bank was probably built in the 1950s or 1960s. In 2013, Citizens State Bank bought Home State Banks. [map]

2023:
This Metcalf Bank branch opened in 1970 and was known as "Metcalf 75" due to its location on 75th St. It was nicknamed the "spaceship bank." It had been abandoned for several years. By 2011, the building had been restored and was housing ONYX Meetings and Events. It now houses iDS (Incite Design Studio) which designed the conversion of the bank for ONYX. Around 2022, the drive-thru canopy has was walled-up with glass for more interior space. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

former Metcalf Bank
79th St.
Overland Park, KS
This Metcalf Bank branch was designed by Kivett Myers and built in 1962. I believe the sign is original with adapted panels. The building now houses a Central Bank of the Midwest. [map]

Security Bank
Overland Park, KS
This Security Bank branch was designed Boyle & Wilson and built in 1966 as a Valley View State Bank. For more, see this website. [map]

UMB Bank
Russell, KS
This UMB Bank was built in 1967 as the Russell State Bank. For more, see this website. [map]

Sunflower Bank
Russell, KS
This Sunflower Bank building may have been built in 1920. If so, it appears that the facade had a mid-century makeover. I don't know if this housed a bank originally or something else. [map]
