Retro Inferno occupies a former office equipment store that was built in 1964. The second level's floor-to-ceiling windows are covered by aluminum sunscreens. The company moved into the building around 2003 and sells mid-century furnishings. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

The Tiger Embroidery building appears to be from the 1960s. Does anyone know what was here originally? This photo is from 2010. The building appears to be vacant now. [map]

The Tux Tees & More building looks like it might have housed a bank originally. It appears to be from the 1960s or 1970s. [map]

former Colonial Baking Co. Thrift Store
St. Louis, MO
This former Colonial Baking Co. Thrift Store was built in 1967. The building was boarded up by 2007. After that, it briefly housed an auto repair shop. The building has been vacant for many years. [map]

former Famous-Barr
St. Ann, MO

This former Famous-Barr department store was built in 1963 as part of the Northwest Plaza shopping mall. In 2006, the store was rebranded as a Macy's. The mall closed in 2010 and most of it was demolished in 2013. This building and a few others were saved for potential office space. The property is now known as The Crossings at Northwest which has offices and retail stores. Since 2015, this building has housed a Charter Communications/Spectrum call center. former Famous-Barr
St. Louis, MO

This former Famous-Barr at South County Center was built from 1962-1963. The building has housed a Macy's since 2006. For more, see this website. [map]
