The Ocean Holiday Motor Inn was built in 1972. The motel was sold in 2019. The building will be remodeled and will operate under a new name. This sign will most likely be removed or adapted. [map]

The Pink Champagne Motel was built in the 1950s. This sign appears to have been updated since then. [map]

The Ala Kai Motel was built in 1955. Ala Kai translates as "by the sea". For more, see this website. [map]

Waikiki Oceanfront Inn

The Waikiki Oceanfront Inn opened in 1969. It was originally known as the Waikiki Motor Inn. Although recently renovated, the owners have retained the thatched canopy, lava rock walls, mosaic mural, and neon sign. This motel is one of the few motels left with a Polynesian theme. Bel Air Motel

The Bel Air Motel opened in 1957. It was named after the automobile with the same name. The building is shaped like the number 7. This sign was built in 2003 as a replica of the neon sign built in 1968. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

The Avalon Motel sign is probably from the 1950s. This photo is from 2012. The sign was adapted when this place became the Island Breeze Motel around 2014. The stylized giant "A" on the side of the building was removed. For more, see this website. [map]

The Sea Scape Inn appears to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The sign might be modern. In 2019, the palm tree was missing from the sign. [map]

The Lu Fran Motel was built in 1952 and there was a different sign there originally. This one might be from the late 1950s or 1960s. The sign was previously painted red and blue. In 2022, the sign was destroyed while the building was being remodeled for condos. The pieces were saved by the Wildwoods Historical Society and put in storage. The Oceanview Motel opened in 1964 as the Admiral East Motel. It was the largest motel ever built in Wildwood. In 2023, plans were announced to remodel the motel and add an additional floor for the Madison Resort. For more, see this website. [map]

The Sand Castle Motel was built in 1958. The sign was missing the "C" for a number of years. The motel was demolished in 2015. The sign was removed and saved. For more, see this website.

The Pier 6600 Motor Inn was built in 1974. It was later known as the Pier 6600 Hotel. This photo is from 2007. In 2013, the building was renovated as the Hotel Icona Diamond Beach. [map]
