This Dome housed Hacienda Interiors in 2006. The building was vacant when this photo was taken in 2014. By 2016, the building was housing the office of the Boulder City Toybox, used car and motorcycle dealership. I don't know when it was built or what it originally housed. The building now houses an RV dealership office. [map]

This Dome is now used as office space for B.C. Real Estate. It previously housed an insurance office. Does anyone know its original use? For more, see this website. [map]

Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts
Reno, NV
The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts was designed by Bozalis, Dickinson and Roloff. It was built by Temcor and completed in 1967. It was originally going to be called the Apollo Theatre. Instead, it opened as the Pioneer Theatre - Auditorium. The gold-anodized geodesic dome is 140 feet in diameter and is composed of 500 panels. For more, see this website. [map]

National Bowling Stadium

The domes in these two rows are not mid-century modern but I'll include them anyway.

The National Bowling Stadium opened in 1995. It features 78 championship lanes and a 440-foot-long video scoreboard. A theatre is housed in the silver geodesic (bowling ball-shaped) dome. For more, see this website. [map]

The Silver Legacy Resort also opened in 1995. The dome is 180 feet in diameter and contains a 150-foot-long mining machine simulation. It is the world's largest composite dome. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [map]

Fenix Dome

Las Vegas, NV
The Fenix Dome is a monolithic dome. Construction began in 2007 and it was still not finished in 2013. This photo is from 2014. For more, see this website. [map]

The Catalyst Dome is also a recent construction. It was built in 2013 as part of Container Park. The building is used as a video projection screen. [map]
