United Auto Building
Santa Ana, CA
The United Auto Building was built from 1922-1924 and sold Haynes and Oldsmobile automobiles originally. In the 1930s, the building housed P&L Motors, a Hudson dealership. There was a succession of dealerships until the mid-1970s. The building remained vacant until its conversion into Original Mike's restaurant in 2002. [map]

The former dealership was built in 1919 as an electric car garage and dealership. The building later housed a truck dealership. It now houses Custom Auto Service which restores Packards. [map]

W.I. Simonson Mercedes-Benz
Santa Monica, CA
The original W.I. Simonson dealership was built in 1937 as a Packard dealership. In the mid-1950s, it became a Studebaker dealer. In 1957, they began selling Mercedes cars. In 1986, the building was destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt to resemble the original. Between 2009 and 2013, the building was repainted and the grillwork was painted white.
